Spring clean


Spring is my favourite time of year. There's something magical about the way things come into bloom again after being dormant over the cold winter months.

In Spring I always find my self feeling ready to have a good clean out, not only of my physical possessions but of my mental clutter and emotional baggage too.

I don't know about you but over the winter months I tend to be more "flat", the grey days & colder weather leave me feeling less than inspired.

I find it cathartic to have a ruthless clean out of junk that's cluttering up my home; my wardrobe & the kitchen cupboards are always in need of a sort out to make space for the things I'm going to need more as the weather warms up.

My mind also needs more space to think about the things I have neglected in the past few months & what I want to see more of between now and the end of the year.

I'm a list person, rather than have a million thoughts rattling around in my head I'd rather get them down on paper.

Here's some ideas I've used to brainstorm from :
- things that are important to me
- things I enjoy
- keep doing
- stop doing
- start doing

Once I've done my brainstorm I find that I have more "space" and energy to focus on what I want to achieve and how to achieve it.
